Create the Wealth
WHAT’S YOUR PATH
Besides becoming a professional athlete or achieving fame and fortune as a rock star. Becoming a millionaire is more possible than ever before.
A Professional Trade
This requires an investment in advanced education. If you're interested in becoming a doctor, lawyer, engineer, professor, architect, banker, project manager, IT specialist, executive, or any kind of specialized position that is in-demand, you will have to go to school for several years and then secure a job in your field.
This will take five years or more to start earning money, and you will have to pay off your school loans. Within 10 years or so, you may be able to earn over $1 million if you develop the specialized skills and make the right investments along the way.
A Sales Superstar
School is not required but will be very helpful. There are many commission based positions available in the United States that offer a high earning potential. Computer software, medical device and healthcare industry, pharmaceutical sales, financial services, and consumer packaged goods are a few good examples.
There are many other positions waiting to be dominated such as account management, real estate, car sales, insurance and home remodeling. If you live in a city of at least 100,000 people and have the inherent skills to influence people, becoming a sales superstar for a growing business is quite possible.
The virtue of mastering a sales job is that you have control over how much you would like to earn, to a certain extent. Of course, you still have a job, which may limit your freedom from living the kind of lifestyle that you want, but this is still a feasible route that could take five years or less, depending on your motivation.
A Business Builder
Entrepreneurs have made their fortunes many times over because of the businesses they've built. Building a business is very hard work but offers significant rewards far beyond financial independence. The freedom to control your life and pursue your interests is frequently the driving force for entrepreneurs. Successful business builders have one trait that separates them from most others: They never stop innovating.
Building a successful business requires you to create and use your own template. You'll likely have to break many habits that you've been taught while growing up. Surrounding yourself with good people and becoming an expert in your industry will be critical to reaching your goals. The global reach of the internet has created vast opportunities for those willing to pursue them. The potential payoff is substantial and you could earn your first million within three years.
